Paint correction is the foundation of everything we do at Detailing Vice. Before a ceramic coating goes on, before a PPF film is applied, before a vehicle goes on a show trailer — the paint has to be right. Truly right, not just clean. In Miami, FL, where UV exposure and salt air work against your finish every single day, correcting and protecting your paint isn't optional maintenance. It's the starting point.

Paint correction is the process of mechanically removing defects from the surface of your vehicle's clear coat or paint — swirl marks, buffer trails left by improper washes, light scratches, water spot etching, oxidation, and holograms. These defects scatter light instead of reflecting it, which is what kills the depth and gloss in even freshly washed paint.
True correction doesn't cover defects. It removes them by carefully abrading the paint surface with machine polishers and progressively finer compounds and polishes until the surface is optically flat. Done correctly, it transforms a vehicle's appearance more dramatically than almost any other service.

Service Options
Single-stage correction with full decontamination wash and iron removal. Best for daily drivers with light swirling and surface defects.
Two-stage correction targeting deeper scratches and heavy swirl marks. Includes paint depth measurements before and after the process.
Full multi-stage correction reserved for show cars and collector vehicles. Zero-defect finish with full documentation of the process.
Classic & Vintage
Classic and vintage vehicles require a measured approach — period-correct results achieved with modern chemistry and without the risk of damaging irreplaceable finishes. We understand original lacquers, single-stage enamels, and the specific considerations each era of vehicle demands. Every classic in our bay is treated as the irreplaceable object it is.

Exotic & Luxury
Exotic & Luxury
Exotic and supercar finishes demand a different protocol from the first wash. We work with manufacturer-specific paint systems, ultra-thin clearcoats, and factory matte or satin finishes that require dedicated chemistry. If your car costs more than most houses, the team working on it should know exactly what they're doing — and we do.
Our Process
We perform a full paint inspection — measuring paint thickness, identifying all defects, and documenting the starting condition before any work begins.
Two-bucket wash, iron decontamination spray, and clay bar treatment to remove all bonded surface contamination before polishing.
Machine polishing to remove swirl marks, scratches, water spots, and oxidation. Compounds and pads are selected based on paint hardness and defect depth.
IPA wipe-down on all corrected panels to remove polish oils and residues, revealing the true corrected finish before protection is applied.
Ceramic coating, wax, or sealant applied panel by panel to lock in the correction and provide lasting protection against environmental contaminants.
We conduct a final walk-around under inspection lighting with the client to review the result and go over any aftercare instructions.
